DRILLER KILLER Explain French/Swiss Tour Cancellation
April 14, 2004Brutal Swedish "crust core" act DRILLER KILLER have issued a statement explaining the reasons for the cancellation of their previously announced French/Swiss tour. It reads as follows:
"FIRST: We/DK want to apologize to the people for not getting the chance to see the band play. It's hard to tell who got most disappointed about the cancellation, DK or you. It's the first time in DK history we have to do this. Next time we'll use a focused reliable and proper promoter/organizer (if there is any?). Our apology * millions.
"SECOND: This tour has been in the works since last year the few times we've been informed the dates have been changed. We've seen flyers with different shows at the same dates, dates missing on one and not the other... It's distributed by the same people at the same time. We've been waiting for the real and final dates, destinations, places which never arrived. We called our 'middlehand' (a German promoter who has nothing to do with this tour) and we got a tiny clue about where and when the tour would end! We called our record company (also not to blame, 'cos they didn't have anything to do with the tour) who told us a complete list different route and changed it during the call. The French promoter didn't call us until after we cancelled, we gave him a deadline to Wednesday [April] 7th, 12 o clock, but no one delivered. We didn't get any info on which day we would leave, we got to know that we were supposed to fly from Stockholm? Sturup? Kastrup? and arrive at Brxuelles?
Dinau? Paris? And sometimes we should change plane in London? No tickets and no booking numbers were sent, nothing at all were sent. But money was spent: New t-shirts, badges, keybands, records and misprinted flyers among other stuff. Next time, use the fucking phone!"
